Information We Collect
Steamfitters Local Union No. 602 collects information from you when you register on our site, make a payment, or click on a link from our payment portal.
While using the online dues payment portal, you may be asked to provide certain personally identifiable information (“PII”) that is necessary to make payment. Examples of PII may include, among other things, your first and last name, address, phone number, e-mail address, birth date, gender, and credit card information. This information, and all other information you provide through the payment portal, will be retained by the Union for up to seven (7) years.
THIS WEBSITE AND PAYMENT PORTAL IS ONLY INTENDED FOR ADULTS. THE UNION DOES NOT KNOWINGLY COLLECT PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION FROM CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 13. IF YOU ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 13, DO NOT SEND US ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION.
Opening an Account
When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you will be asked to enter your member number, name, e-mail address, birth date, gender, password and credit card information. We only know who you are if you provide your limited personal information to us directly.
A member who makes a payment using a credit or debit card is required to Steamfitters Local Union No. 602 with certain Cardholder Data in order to make the purchase, including the customer's name and credit card number. Steamfitters Local Union No. 602 may transmit certain parts of this information to Chase Paymentech for the purpose of processing the transaction. During the course of providing processing services to our Merchants, we may disclose such Cardholder Data to banks, processors, credit and debit card organizations and associations, and other financial institutions that are involved in the course of effecting the transaction represented by the Cardholder Data. In addition, we may disclose some or all of the information we collect, to our affiliated companies or to nonaffiliated third parties (subject to contractual confidentiality provisions to protect such information) such as a vendor or service company that we hire to prepare our Merchants' account statements or to provide support or services for one or more of our products. We will not disclose Cardholder Data to any third party, except to facilitate and complete transactions submitted to us by Merchants, or otherwise in the course of providing services to our Merchants, or to comply with federal, state and local laws or the rules and regulations of the respective card organizations or other payment entities (e.g. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, NACHA, etc.).
How Your Information May Be Used
The information is collected for the limited purpose of processing and tracking dues payments. The Union will endeavor to process PII in a manner that is compatible with and relevant to the purpose for which it is collected. To the extent necessary for those purposes, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that PII is accurate, complete, current, and reliable for its intended use.
The Union may also share your data with vendors who have been approved by us and have a business need to have PII data. Where such inter-company sharing of data is required, each approved vendor(s) and its IT department is responsible for creating and maintaining data encryption and protection standards to safeguard all PII data that resides in the databases provided.
Data Breach
In the event of a data breach, the Union or its authorized agent will promptly notify any affected users and appropriate authorities of a data breach within data structures directly controlled by us or, as appropriate.
Each vendor retained by the Union is obliged to notify the Union of any breaches and or changes with any database or systems which may contain PII data.
Release of Information
Occasionally, the Union may release your PII. For example, we may disclose your information pursuant to legal requirements. We also may share your information with:
- Law enforcement or other governmental officials, in response to a verified request relating to an investigation or alleged illegal activity;
- Third parties that provide a valid subpoena or court order; or
- Third parties as requested or authorized by you (or your parent or guardian).

When you complete and submit a form on our website, send us an e-mail, send us a fax, or contact us by telephone to solicit information about our services or the company in general Steamfitters Local Union No. 602 may store the inquiries and their contents. Chase Paymentech, which processes the transactions of Steamfitters Local Union No. 602, has implemented various measures, including appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards, designed to ensure the security and confidentiality of Cardholder Data and Customer Data, protect against anticipated threats or hazards to the security or integrity of such information, and protect against unauthorized access to or use of such information. Such measures may include, among others, encryption, physical access security and other appropriate technologies. Chase Paymentech continually reviews and enhances its security systems, as necessary. Chase Paymentech is subject to the detailed rules and regulations of the various credit and debit card organizations and networks (i.e. VISA, MasterCard, American Express, NYCE, Star, etc.), relating to the security and safeguarding of Cardholder Data, including, but not limited to, the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards ("PCI"), VISA Inc.'s Cardholder Information Security Program ("CISP") and MasterCard International's Site Data Protection Program ("SDP"). Chase Paymentech endeavors to comply with all such rules at all times. Pursuant to such rules and regulations, Chase Paymentech is required to undergo periodic third-party assessments and periodic network scans to ensure that, among other things, Chase Paymentech has installed and maintains a firewall configuration to protect data; does not use vendor-supplied defaults for system passwords and other security parameters; protects stored data; encrypts transmission of Cardholder Data and sensitive information across public networks; uses and regularly updates antivirus software; develops and maintains secure systems and applications; restricts access to data to those with a business need-to-know; tracks and monitors all access to network resources and Cardholder Data; regularly tests security systems and processes; assigns a unique ID to each person with computer access; restricts physical access to Cardholder Data; and maintains a policy that addresses information security. Communication Preferences
When possible, the Union will offer an “unsubscribe” option or other method to limit any communications. These contact options include the acceptance or removal of subsequent emails, calls, and text messages directly from the Union, as well as your permission to receive information from the Union.
You may sign up to receive emails or newsletters or other communications from us. If you would like to discontinue receiving this information, you may update your email preferences by using the “Unsubscribe” link found in emails we send you or your member profile on our website.
Your Right to Access, Correct, Delete PII
You have the right to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of the personal data that you previously provided to the Union. To submit a request for any of the following, please contact the Union as described in the “Contact Us” section below.
Applicable State Privacy Laws
Several states have enacted consumer data privacy laws. Some of these laws provide consumers with the right to access and delete personal information and to opt-out of the sale of personal information. The Union will comply with all applicable state-specific privacy laws regardless of whether they are specifically addressed in this privacy policy.
Changes to this Policy
The Union reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace this Privacy Policy at any time and this Privacy Policy is periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary. Any such modifications or changes will become effective immediately upon posting of such changes.
