Steamfitters UA Local #602 represents the Journeymen, Apprentices and Helpers, who work in the Heating, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Process Piping Industry in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area.

We are pleased to welcome you to our website and hope you will take the time to browse through it and learn about the many advantages and benefits of being a member of our Local Union. Our members have installed, repaired and maintained heating, air conditioning, refrigeration and process piping systems in the Nation’s Capital and its surrounding areas for over 100 Years. We have provided and continue to provide these services in a variety of different Buildings and/or Facilities across the Metropolitan Area.
     
Customers, who have relationships with our Local Union, know that Local 602’s members provide an invaluable service, with the highest degree of professionalism, when called upon for whatever their needs may be.

Maryland Legislators Propose “Right to Work” Bills in both the House and the Senate - (2/8/2017)

There will be a hearing before the Economic Matters Committee in the Maryland House of Delegates on Tuesday February 14th at 1:00pm for House Bill 0531 “Right to Work” and a hearing before the Finance Committee in the Maryland State Senate on Wednesday February 22nd at 1:00pm for Senate Bill 0490 “Right to Work.”

We are asking that volunteers accompany us to the House of Delegates on the 14th of February to show our representatives that we are in opposition to the is Bill becoming Law. If you are able to attend the hearing in person, we will be meeting at the Union Hall at 11:30am to carpool to the hearing or you can meet us at the Maryland House Office Building, which is located at 6 Bladen St., Annapolis, Maryland in the Economic Matters Committee hearing room.

We are also asking that volunteers accompany us to the Miller Senate Office Building on the 22nd of February to show our representatives that we are in opposition to the is Bill becoming Law. If you are able to attend the hearing in person, we will be meeting at the Union Hall at 11:30am to carpool to the hearing or you can meet us at the Miller Senate Office Building, which is located at 11 Bladen St., Annapolis, Maryland in the Finance Committee hearing room.

We are asking that those who attend wear clothing that displays the Local 602 Logo. If you do not have a shirt or article of clothing that does, please notify one of the officers, so that we can provide one for you.
