How
it Works
|
|
When
you're accepted into the program, you'll
start right away as an apprentice,
earning
good wages and working side-by-side with
experienced members of the trade. You'll
be eligible for promotion and increased
pay too. Along with this invaluable on-the-job
training, you'll take classes at the UA
Mechanical Trade School in Landover, recognized
as one of the finest institutions of its
kind in the world.
Your
tuition for the classroom training won't
cost you a cent. That's more than $25,000
worth of education free - and all the
while you're a well-paid wage earner,
on your own, making a good living.
Upon
graduation in five years, you'll be a
certified journeyman steamfitter, and
well on your way to a solid career in
one of the most skilled and highly-paid
of all mechanical trades.
If
you choose the construction side of the
business, you'll be able to drive past
some of the finest new buildings in the
area and tell your children, "I helped
build that." If you choose the service
side, you'll be able to say, "I keep
that building working right."
